The Benefits of Hiring a Commercial Snow Plowing Service for Your East Meadow, NY Business

Winters in New York can be harsh, and snow and ice can be a major problem for Nassau County business owners. Not only does it make getting around challenging, but it can also cause hazardous conditions for you, your staff, your clients, and your vendors. Winter weather can also force you to shut down your operations, which can result in substantial profit losses. Fortunately, there is a way that you can quickly clear your property of snow and ice, ensure it’s safe to access, and keep your business open. How? With commercial snow plowing, of course!

If you’re a Nassau County business owner, when Old Man Winter blows in, here’s a look at some great reasons why you should hire a East Meadow, NY commercial snow removal service.

Improved Safety

Snow and ice can make your parking lot, walkways, steps, and other outdoor surfaces extremely hazardous. Calling a commercial snow plowing company is the fastest and easiest way to ensure your business is safe for your customers, employees, and vendors to access. A reputable East Meadow, NY snow removal company will have ample experience, will use the most state-of-the-art equipment, and will apply proven techniques and strategies to eliminate snow buildup on the exterior surfaces of your Nassau County business so that your business can be safely accessed.

Reduced Liability

As a business owner, you’re liable for any accidents or injuries that occur on your Nassau County premises. This not only includes interior areas but exterior spaces, as well. Snow and ice can make outdoor surfaces extremely slippery. Just a few inches of snow can create a hazardous situation. If your customers, staff, or suppliers slip and fall on those snow-covered surfaces, you will be held liable for any injuries, which means that you could be responsible for any medical expenses and legal payouts; your insurance rates could skyrocket, too. By hiring a East Meadow, NY commercial snow removal company, you’ll significantly reduce the liability risks that can be associated with those slippery, snow-covered outdoor surfaces.

Minimal Downtime

When the ground is covered with snow, it’s pretty much guaranteed that your Nassau County business is going to experience some amount of downtime. You’re most certainly going to lose some – if not all – of your customer base until the storm passes, employees might call out, or you may have no other choice but to tell them to stay home. If conditions are bad enough, you might have to close down completely. A reputable East Meadow, NY commercial snow removal professional can help to minimize your downtime. An experienced commercial snow plowing expert will quickly clear your parking lots, walkways, stairs, and loading docks, and you’ll be back to business as usual in no time.

Cost Savings

You might assume that a professional commercial snow removal company is an unnecessary expense; however, in reality, hiring one can actually end up saving you a good deal of money. The increased safety, reduced liability, and minimal downtime that commercial snow removal services will provide can actually end up saving you a tremendous amount of money. Plus, a credible East Meadow, NY commercial snow removal contractor will charge fair and affordable prices, which will make using their services an even more economical and worthwhile investment.

Peace of Mind

Last but certainly not least, hiring a commercial snow plowing company will provide you with peace of mind. As a Nassau County business owner, you have a lot of stress to contend with, and having to worry about the dangers and risks that snow can cause will only add to your stress. Because a dependable East Meadow, NY commercial snow removal service will increase the safety of your property, will reduce your liability, will significantly reduce your downtime, and can help you save a sizable amount of money, well, it’s easy to see why hiring a professional will provide peace of mind.

East Meadow is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 38,132 at the 2010 census.

In 1655, two surveyors for Hempstead reported that the “east meadow” would be suitable for grazing. The area quickly became a grazing area for cattle and later, in the 18th century, for sheep. The sheep of the East Meadow area provided the country with more than 50% of the United States’ wool needs during that time.

During the American Revolutionary War, East Meadow was occupied by British forces when they discovered the vast amounts of livestock herded there, and remained under their control until the end of the war. Two large farms existed in what is now East Meadow: the Barnum farm (Barnum Woods), and the Carman farm. It is rumored that President George Washington spent a night on the Barnum estate during a trip across Long Island in 1790. A toll booth was operated near the Carman homestead on the Hempstead Turnpike.

Another early settlement was located near what is now the intersection of East Meadow Avenue (formerly called Newbridge Avenue; not to be confused with nearby Newbridge Road) and Prospect Avenue.
