Shows You Care

Consumers are more likely to choose companies – and continue doing business with companies – that care about their customers, and commercial snow removal services will definitely show that you care. Keeping the parking lots, walkways, steps, and other outdoor walking areas clear of snow speaks volumes about your Nassau County company and how you view you treat your customers. A reputable Jericho, NY commercial snow removal company will combine the most advanced equipment with proven techniques and strategies to ensure that all of the exterior surfaces are clear of snow and safe to use. Such a simple act can dramatically improve customer experience – and the success of your business.

Safety First

Your customers expect your company to provide high-quality, reliable products and/or services. They also want your Nassau County business to not meet their needs and exceed their expectations. While there’s no denying that these things are important, there’s something else that your customers are expecting that’s just as important – if not more so – and they may not even realize it, and that’s safety. Your clients expect to be safe when they’re on the premises of your Nassau County business, and commercial snow removal services will show your clients that you put safety first. A seasoned Jericho, NY commercial snow removal contractor will ensure that all surfaces are cleared of snow and ice so that your customers can safely access your business.

Improved Accessibility

Snow-covered steps, walkways, and parking lots can make your Nassau County business difficult to access. If the snow is deep enough, accessing your business can be next to impossible. When your restaurant, store, office space, salon, theater, or whatever kind of business you operate isn’t accessible, it’s going to be pretty difficult for your customers to do business with you. Professional commercial snow removal services are the perfect solution to this problem. A credible company that specializes in commercial snow removal in Jericho, NY will make sure that your parking lots and entryways are clear so that your customers can access your place of business with ease.

Enhanced Appearance

In the world of business, they say you only get one chance to make a first impression, and the appearance of your Nassau County business will have a direct impact on how customers view your business, which in turn will impact the experience they have with your business. When snow first falls, it can be beautiful, but it doesn’t take long for it to turn into unsightly slush. If your parking lots, walkways, and entryways are covered with slush, employees, vendors, and customers will drag it inside. Needless to say, slush-covered floors aren’t exactly visually appealing. If your clients are greeted with slushy, dirty floors when they walk into your business, they’re going to be less-than-impressed. Hiring a Jericho, NY snow removal company can help to prevent this problem and improve the appearance of your business.

Jericho is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island, approximately 29 miles (47 km) east of Midtown Manhattan. Its population was 13,567 as of the U.S. 2010 Census.

Located mainly in the Town of Oyster Bay with a small part in the Town of Hempstead, Jericho was part of the Robert Williams Plantation in 1648. The English families who settled in Jericho were, or soon became, Quakers, members of the Society of Friends. Many fled from persecution in England and in the New England Colonies. They sought a peaceful existence as farmers. The name of the area was changed in 1692 from Lusum to Jericho after the town in the Middle East near the Jordan River mentioned in the Bible as part of the Promised Land.

Elias Hicks married Jemima Seaman in 1771 and moved to her family’s farm in Jericho, where he soon became a noted preacher of Quaker doctrine. All the Quakers suffered during the British occupation of Long Island in the Revolutionary War. The practice was to quarter troops in homes of residents, who had to provide room and board for them. The Quakers continued to protest the entire concept of war itself. After the war, peace returned to Jericho, and the neat farms and businesses began to prosper. A Friends Meeting house was built in 1788 in Jericho that is still used in the 21st century. A Quaker school was built in 1793, the Charity Society of Jericho and Westbury in 1794, and slavery was abolished in 1817, with Hicks’ help.

A post office was established in 1802, a cider mill in the mid-19th century, the first public elementary school in 1905, known as the Cedar Swamp School. Improvements to infrastructure were made with the founding of the Jericho Water District in 1923. As the population increased, a new elementary school was built in 1953 (Robert Seaman School), and a Volunteer Fire Department established in 1938. The population kept increasing until the last elementary schools in Jericho were built, the George A. Jackson Elementary School in 1957, the now closed Robert Williams School in 1961 and the Cantiague School in 1963. When the Village of Muttontown was incorporated, the cider mill was within the village limits. Because most Gold Coast villages wanted to remain business free areas, many do not have their own post offices or ZIP Codes. Therefore, Jericho Post Office which serves this area of Muttontown is displayed as the official USPS mailing address and leads to the misconception that the cider mill is in Jericho.
